Manchester based Harbur Construction have started work on student accommodation in Preston
The development, which will provide accommodation for 246 students will be made up of 44 five-bedroom flats comprising en-suite bedrooms, communal living including a kitchen and dining area and a separate annexe containing 20 studio apartments. There will also be a cinema, games room, laundry facilities and study rooms on site.
Sales Director Glenn Gale has said “We are really pleased to be working with Harbur on this exciting development which will provide superb living for students of the university. We are investing a lot in to the Private Rented Sector (PRS) with our new policy designed specifically for this sector and look forward to working on this project and many more throughout the UK in the future.”
The scheme, located close to the main Campus for the University of Lancashire will be called ‘Jubilee Court’ is to be completed in July 2016 and is being built on the former Jubilee Trading Estate on behalf of private developer Alpha Homes.
