WHAT IS A NEW HOMES WARRANTY?

A New Homes Warranty is designed to protect homeowners of newly built, converted or refurbished properties in the first 10 years from structural defects. If you are planning to sell your newly built property after completion you will need this new build guarantee. Our New Homes Warranty also covers conversion projects of all scales, including office to residential conversions.

 

To support transparency when it comes to selecting a structural warranty provider we will issue Insurance Product Information Documents (IPID) for all warranty schemes with any new quotation. Click here to view the IPIDs for our New Home Warranty Scheme.

    Cover begins from day one of issuing the Certificate of Insurance

    During the first two years of cover the Developer is responsible for remedying defects

    Single Unit New Build: £1,000,000 Single Unit Conversion: £500,000 Continuous Structure New Build: £25,000,000 Continuous Structure Conversion: £5,000,000

    Up to 26 weeks of alternative accommodation, Additional costs, Professional fees, Removal of debris

HOW WE WORK WITH YOU

1. GET A QUOTE

Discuss your project with our dedicated Account Managers and receive a bespoke quotation based on the complexity of your build.

2. TECHNICAL AUDIT

On review of your designs, our team will provide advice for meeting build requirements, before creating a bespoke technical inspection plan for your build.

3. CONSTRUCTION

Your Risk Management Surveyor will undertake onsite inspections in line with the construction of your development. 

4. COMPLETION

On final inspection your Risk Management Surveyor will approve your project so you can receive your Certificate of Insurance.

5. COVER

Rest knowing your development is covered from day one, with full risk transfer after the Defects Insurance Period.
