Developments may be eligible for multiple categories. For example, if you’re converting an existing building into apartments and building 50 new houses on the same site, then you will be eligible for entry into both the Refurbishment/Conversion of the Year category and the Development of the Year (11-50 units) category.
This category is for any single unit.
This category is for any development containing between 2-10 units in total
This category is for any development in the north containing between 11-50 units in total
This category is for any development in the south containing between 11-50 units in total
This category is for any development in the north containing more than 51 units in total and up to 6 storeys
This category is for any development in the south containing more than 51 units in total and up to 6 storeys
This Category is for any development built or converted in the north for use as social housing
This Category is for any development built or converted in the south for use as social housing
This category is for a development that is being refurbished to improve it or is being converted from one use to a new one
This category is for any development with 7+ storeys in the north
This category is for any development with 7+ storeys in the south
Winners in each of the Excellence Awards main categories will qualify to be placed forward into the higher awards.
Winning Site Managers should be able to demonstrate excellent site management and quality control skills. All site managers are eligible for nomination in this category if they have a nominated site in the Excellence Awards.
The winner of the Developer of the Year award must be able to demonstrate outstanding levels of competency and service throughout the year. Entrants will not be judged on their work on one specific development, but their ability to display excellence in all areas of their work through the year.
